Everything from the last few days of my first Semester in Taiwan. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the awesome. Hahaha. Starring (in order of appearance) Leng, a fountain thingy, Yin, Jess, Sophia, a random dog, and some bikes.

Finally.. My long overdue entry about my trip to the roof at 6am one morning. I had forgotten about these photos completely.. Partially because I didn’t really like them. But, look! They’re here now.

Why are they here? And why now? Hmm.. I still don’t actually like them that much, but some of them seemed interesting. Maybe because of the shape of the roads and paths below? Seeing things from a different angle than usual is always interesting, isn’t it? (more…)
Today is my 21st birthday and I decided to have a post full of random things, collected between my arrival to Taiwan and now. =)

May: This is the view from the rood of my dorm building at night. You can see Taipei 101 in the background!

May: And DKNY on the roof! Do you know how hard this was to take considering how afraid I am of heights?! Haha. (more…)
It was 6am in the morning and Sha was extremely sleepy.. She looked out the window, wondering if there would be clearer skies.. But she saw nothing but grey..

Nevertheless, she decided that waiting would get her nowhere.. And she ventured out to the rooftop of her dormitory.. Only to be surprised at how much she liked the view..

Facing the south of Taipei city she took these photos.. Despite wobbling from tiredness.. Without a tripod.. And accidentally switching to Av halfway through due to said tiredness..

She then took the long trek back down and quickly stuck these JPGs together to give you a preview of her efforts.. Which you can barely see even though it’s split into three parts..

She didn’t need to include them all.. But for memory’s sake.. Here is a preview of the shrunken 25,000 pixel wide JPG.. Hopefully updated and fixed up versions will be on the way soon..
I left the house one evening with $900NT in hopes of adding a multitude of necessities and accessories to my dorm room.. Then I stumbled upon DAISO, a Japanese store where every item costs $39NT. That’s cheap, right? So, this is the result of this venture – an example of what you can get with around $500NT.

*points above* I don’t know why, but I couldn’t resist buying these jelly hearts for my bathroom walls. I guess a small splash of colour here and there makes the bathroom a little happier and brighter? You get twice the amount shown in the photo, and they all aren’t bad quality.
Although, it didn’t have the cutest bins I’ve ever seen, DAISO still has some pretty cute bins. Below is my new bin, I got it because I thought it was quite cute but now I’m wishing I got an even cuter one. Oh well.
